You guys, we made it. It's July 31st and I've successfully blogged every. single. day this month. When Faith originally told us about this challenge I'm pretty sure I laughed and said something along the lines of, "Oh hell no!" But here we are, 31 days later, and it's over and I NEVER HAVE TO BLOG AGAIN! Just kidding. I'm totally going to still blog, just not nearly as much, because blogging is hard. Actually that statement isn't entirely accurate. It's not that hard to slap a couple of words in this space and hit publish. What's hard about blogging is posting good content consistently. And most of the time when I try to pump out a blog post, this is how I feel. Also now I really want some bacon.

It's hard. We all know that. And to be honest, I probably wouldn't do it at all if it weren't for all of you linking up, commenting, and tweeting. I don't "blog for me." If I wanted to blog for myself, I would probably write in a diary. I blog because of the people. Because of you. (If this were a movie I would be smiling slightly while staring off into the distance while some sappy cliche song played. I can't think of a song but you can go ahead and pick out a song you like and insert that here.)

So basically thanks. And now I have to go figure out some crap with my vehicle registration so wish me luck.

Gipsy Dharma: Unique and handmade clothing and footwear

**This is a sponsored post**

I love boots. Fall is my favorite season (color me unique, I know) in part because I can wear boots with EVERYTHING. However, I find that I usually get stuck in a rut of the same boring brown boots. I get nervous to shop for fun boots online because I'm afraid they won't fit my calves! So when Gipsy Dharma sponsored me, I was excited to find that they offer leather boots that feature an easy access zip on the inner leg and laces that allow you to tighten them accordingly to make them look and feel ideal!

Oh I'm sorry what's that? You want colorful boots? DON'T WORRY. Gipsy Dharma has you covered!

Sorry I'm not sorry

Today's prompt is "Sorry I'm not sorry," and I'm sorry I'm not sorry about waiting til later in the morning to publish this post. Sometimes Wednesdays are hard. This Wednesday is a little rougher because for some reason I've been getting really bad headaches this week and today is no exception and it's annoying and I'm enjoying complaining about it a little bit. Sorry I'm not sorry about that.

+ Sorry I'm not sorry that I'm obsessed with these $5 aviator sunglasses I got yesterday after I finally got sick of wearing Jacey's broken sunglasses. I should probably go buy some extra pairs of these just in case these break or I lose them.

+ Sorry I'm not sorry that if you come over to my house I have no food to offer you. I don't remember the last time I grocery shopped, partly because I'm lazy and partly because I don't have the self restraint to not buy crap food. Also, even if I have only healthy food in the house, I'll still binge eat it at night if I'm bored, so it works better for me to just buy a little food at a time.

+ Sorry I'm not sorry that my Instagram is mostly pictures of my niece and food. Clearly you can tell what's important to me.

+ Sorry I'm not sorry that my blog content has kind of been lacking. I mean, I know I've been posting, but I feel like the majority of my posts have been kind of haphazardly thrown together and not containing much of substance. (Except for this one, I actually feel pretty good about this one.) And actually I think I really am sorry about this one. So sorry I'm not sorry for lying to you about not being sorry.

+ Sorry I'm not sorry that I keep pimping out my toilet paper post in the hopes that you'll click on the post and then click on the links. If you don't though, we can still be friends. Just don't get annoyed that I ask for favors every once in a blue moon.

+ Sorry I'm not sorry that I shed so much in my car that people think I own a dog.

+ To the cashier at Target the other night: Sorry I'm not sorry that when you dropped my bottle of shampoo on the floor and cracked the cap, I glared at you instead of showing you kindness and love. But I mean, you should probably be more careful. Now I have a cracked bottle of shampoo because I was too lazy to go and get a new one from the shelf like 8 aisles away.

What I like about me

I spent a good two hours deciding if I wanted to do this announcement at the beginning or the end of today's post. Just kidding, I spent a good two hours playing tetris and watching The Mindy Project, not making that decision. I don't need that long to make a decision. Unless I'm trying to decide whether to watch When Harry Met Sally or You've Got Mail. Anyway, I'm going to make the announcement at the beginning of today's post. you know we've been doing this linkup all July, and it ends on Thursday. We felt like Friday may have felt left out and that made us sad, so we're hosting a link-up on Friday also.

The exciting part is that Lindsay is joining us and hosting this link-up also! We're doing a vlog link-up, and we have Kay to thank. It's an accent link-up so we can find out the weird ways words are said in different part of the world and stuff. So here's the button and a list of the stuff you have to record yourself saying. If you want to enjoy a Ninja Mimosa while you're doing this, feel free. I'd actually really enjoy that.

(Also, you guys should know that as of today I have no way of posting a vlog so there's a small chance I won't be able to make it to the party.)
The Other Juliette
1. Your Name
2. Where you're from.
3. Pronounce the following words: Aunt, Roof, Route, Theater, Iron, Salmon, Caramel, Fire, Water, New Orleans, Pecan, Both, Again, Probably, Alabama, Lawyer, Coupon, Mayonnaise, Pajamas, Caught, Naturally, Aluminum, Crackerjack, Doorknob, Envelope
4. What is it called when you throw toilet paper on a house?
5. What is a bubbly carbonated drink called?
6. What do you call gym shoes?
7. What do you call your grandparents?
8. What do you call the wheeled contraption in which you carry groceries at the supermarket?
9. What is the thing you change the TV channel with?
10. What is the bug that when you touch it, it rolls into a ball? How about the one that lights up at night?
11. What do you say to address a group of people?
12. Do you speak any other languages? If so, say something in that language(s).
13. Do you think you have an accent?
14. End by saying any 3 words you want.

Now, let's get down to business. I'm supposed to write five things I love about myself, and I'm really bad at these kinds of posts but I'm going to give it my best shot.

1. I'm a good listener. I like to think this is because in college I majored in Communications, and I had entire classes devoted to the art of listening. It's not as easy as it sounds. But really, if you have a problem and you need a listening ear, I can be that.

2. I can be funny. Ok, funny slash sarcastic. I'm really sarcastic. So sarcastic, that at this one job I had a co-worker said, "If I didn't know you were being sarcastic I'd think you were the biggest bitch I'd ever met." Aww, thanks Jillian, you were a peach.

3. I'm good at memorizing. I've always had a pretty good memory that unfortunately I think has started to fade as I am struggling to remember if I turned off my flat iron this morning.

4. I can go a long time without washing my hair, which saves water, which is good because California is in a drought. A couple of weeks I think I had day 6 hair and YOU COULDN'T EVEN TELL.

5. I'm good at finding GIFs. I pride myself in this.

One, two, three, cheese!

There's so much I want to write about my weekend at Keith's house, like how we made Lindsay's salsa and it was amazing but I used too much garlic but I didn't realize that until Keith got really close to my face and said something and I almost passed out from the smell of garlic. And how he ruined my favorite movie ever (About Time) by being smart and finding the holes in the plot and I SOBBED about how he ruined it for me and he laughed at me which just made me sob harder. Also how the Dodgers swept the Giants and that made me just so happy.

But I can't talk about that because 1) I'm so tired I can hardly form a complete thought, and 2) today's topic is "three pictures" and it's all I can do to do that prompt. But we're almost done with the blog every day challenge so next week I can definitely go back to my normal routine of posting when I feel like it.

I feel like there have been 47 digressions in this post already.

Anyway. Picture #1: A selfie.
During the school year I help out at a kids program at my church once a week, and we have themes. One night was "crazy hair night" so I turned to Pinterest for pinspiration and recreated this bow bun and I'm pretty sure I nailed it.

Picture #2: A picture I took.

I think this is the third time I've posted this picture on my blog, and the second time I've posted it this month. I just love it, and I'm really proud of myself for getting such a great picture on my iPhone (and editing it in AfterLight #fulldisclosure). But I love this picture because it's home and it's beautiful.

Picture #3: Anything.
I decided to show you a side-by-side picture of the one and only Heisenberg and my favorite college professor. I mean really, don't tell me you don't see the resemblance. DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHICH ONE IS HEISENBERG?? I wish I had gone to college when Breaking Bad was on the air because this would have been so cool to talk about in class. And I just googled when Breaking Bad started and it was in 2008 and I finished college in 2010 so apparently I just missed my opportunity, but in my defense I don't think anybody cared about Breaking bad until 2011 at the earliest.

That's all can I take a nap now?

An interview with my old roommate

If you need a refresher, here is the list of the blog every day in July prompts. Also, if you have some extra time on your hands and don't mind me blatantly asking for favors, feel free to click on my post about toilet paper and click the links because that helps me out. If you don't have free time and you're irritated that I asked you for a favor then just pretend like I didn't and we'll still be friends.

Today I'm posting an interview I did with somebody. I wanted to interview Keith, but that didn't work out (because he was sleeping when I wanted to interview him) but luckily Jacey had nothing better to do so I texted her all the questions and she did a great job of answering them. Do you remember Jacey? She was my roommate until she decided to move to Ohio and get engaged. Whatever. Totally not bitter.

You know how to read a text conversation, right? Like, I don't have to explain to you how this works? Ok good. Let's go.

(Earlier in the day Jacey and I were talking about makeup and I told her she should start "tightlining" her eyes and she didn't know what that meant even though I've explained it to her a million times. FYI if you watch that video I don't think I use the same products... I just use retractable NYC black eyeliner because it's $1.99 at Target. But when Jacey says "waterlining" what she means is "tightlining.")

(Fun fact: Like a year and a half ago Jacey promised me she'd buy me ALL THE SEASONS OF FRIENDS for Christmas or my birthday or something. Guess who still doesn't have all the seasons of Friends?)

(Justin is her fiance and feel free to barf along with me at the adorableness.)

(Jake is her 6 or 7 year old brother.)

(Justin is a vegetarian.)

(Some day I'll blog about the time we went dancing when I visited Jacey at ASU and how we almost died. And then a guy bought me a sandwich.)

(Anybody know what movie she quoted?)

And that's all there was there wasn't anymore the end goodbye see you tomorrow.

A photo an hour for a day (sort of)

Today I'm supposed to post a photo an hour from a day earlier in the week. I totally forgot about it until Thursday night so I had to take the pictures on Friday and I did the best I could so please don't judge me too harshly.

Technically this was taken at 6:10am but potato, potahto. Whatever. I try to greet the morning joyfully every day and I obviously do a great job.

Ummm well, I start work at 7am and it's very important for me to have 2-4 steaming cups of creamer coffee in order to be happy at all. One of my favorite parts of my job is that I'm by myself in the office for usually about 2 hours. It works out great because have you met me in the morning? Just imagine Oscar the Grouch with PMS and you'll have a good idea of what it's like to interact with me before noon.

My office is in a house that was converted into an office, and we have a really pretty garden with a white picket fence out front. Sometimes I take one of my mugs of coffee onto the porch to give myself a break from staring at a screen. And I'm totally lying. I only went outside to take this picture so you guys wouldn't get bored. YOU'RE SO WELCOME.

Sometimes I think about how much I'd rather be sleeping and I make faces.

Sometimes I actually sleep.

Around 10:05 I decided it would be cruel and unusual punishment to bombard you with more pictures of me sitting at my desk, so I decided to hold off until LUNCH TIME. I love Friday lunches because I get to see my mom, sister, and niece. Also because I get fish tacos NOM.

A few times a week I have to go to the bank for work purposes and I tried to be artsy and this is my failed attempt you're welcome.

I get off work at 4, but at 5 I was on the road to see Keith. You don't 4 hours of road trip pictures because that's DANGEROUS and ILLEGAL obviously. Just imagine me making that same face ^^ while drinking Diet Coke and listening to a Harry Potter audiobook.

Since I am writing this before I actually get to Keith's house, may I interest you in a fuzzy picture we took at that wedding in May that I've blogged prior to today? Nobody ever said I wasn't lazy.

And... that's my day. Some days my job is really stressful (annoying, not stressful), but most days it's just fun and I love it. But there's not a lot of variation to my schedule so that's why most of the pictures are of me making faces into the camera at my desk. I had to stop doing that once my co-worker and boss came in though. I would have died of embarrassment if somebody had walked in on me taking a selfie. I mean can you imagine?
